Kitchen leg records is overly happy to present Mumbles’ second album “Muddy Blue Butter Skies”, that follows their debut, always on our label, “Geese My Eyes” back in 2015.
Their new seven songs wafts dreamily and yearningly through the ears as a result of the long breath, intimate friendship and disagreement. There is always their bitter-sweet songs, between pop and punk and with their unique style, but more accomplished, reflective, self-confident, yet always fresh and surprising, as the very first time we hear them live.
The band states that “the new album represents falling hair and confidence in the future. We don’t stop making music and want to share it with you”.
“You don’t have to be able to play an instrument or be a musical person, just come by regularly” …that was the initial slogan of the Berlin-based band Mumbles.
Mumbles were born out of a desperate need to do anyhow music-making. After a couple of band transformations, they ended up with a pile of pretty unique songs, blending dewy-eyed ambitions and unspoiled skills with a good portion of fuckoff-punkish attitude.
Mumbles like making noise, pom-poms, cakes, dance, scream and shout.
