“Goem’s music on this release is totally loop based. The tracks are built on slowly mutating fast loops of very short beats. The sound is clear and atonal, relying on bleeps and tiny percussions. Some dubbed effects are added to the whole, which reminds the listener of some things Vromb has written.
The tracks are all instrumental and have quite a fast tempo. They tend to go faster and faster, and have a very hypnotic side. Not really techno but far too repetitive and structured to be really experimental, this live recording (of a great sound quality, by the way), is very attractive once you are in the right mood. It took me several spins to enjoy this CD, but it is finally, a nice album that has some nicely efficient moments.”
