Goat-fish visions, dystopian bliss, post-punk roots and new age shoots combine to shape the micro universe of Ultrabonus, a band (un)known for their fast and short tunes with lyrics in Spanish and involuntary low profile. Based around Argentinian Ignatz B’s quick-fire song writing, the group is completed by Michael (guitar/bass), Leah (bass/synth) and Edu (drums), of Berlin’s forever-mutating indie scene. After five EPs and a row of high energy shows in the memorable summer of 2022, Ultrabonus forge ahead, careful not to step on their own heels.
Recorded in November 2020, “El Gimnasio en Casa” was the first work of Ultrabonus as a band. This double EP, is now released on tape by Kitchen Leg Records, offers subliminal clues about how to stay in some kind of shape for those without the need or desire to.
