“Stewed is our second studio recorded CD recorded in Spring 2008, mainly at Derby University studio, with Steph Marsland and help from her students and partly at home in Draycott.
In this recording we focussed on using smaller combinations of instruments to generate a characteristic and unique sound on each of the tracks. Overall we are very happy wth the results of this method and some of the tracks reflect pretty accurately what we think we sound like live.
As usual, it’s difficult for us to tell who’s playing what or how sounds are generated in each piece, especially listening back to the album 6-7 months later, but we hope that there is a coherence to the sound that you can appreciate and that it is we have produced an example of free music that does not exclude 99% of listeners.”
