The cookbook is an expressive portrayal of a young adult’s journey to himself, tinged with black humour. The protagonist of the work is a man who is excluded from reality and whose thoughts and actions intersect with the hedonistic and aimless dreams of modern society. Lauri Mäkimurto’s debut album is a different cookbook. Lauri Mäkimurto (b. 1984) is a comics writer from Keminmaa. Before the Cookbook, her uninhibited works could be read in the author’s Härski Luke self-published books and in the Kuti magazine. Mäkimurto graduated from Saimaa University of Applied Sciences as a visual artist.
