It seems to me that the accentuation is not the division, but the only wafer-thin difference, the indistinguishability of things from their shadows. The trumpet sounds do not sound like brass, but as if scraped from wood or cardboard, often only like an imagination covered with the lips. The sound of the strings is only a scratching or a shimmering web, the sampling an invisible third that further obscures the grey-on-grey with phantom and avatar sounds of air and strings.
