“Born in Hiroshima, Daisuke started his career as songwriter and the head of his band Yodaka in 2001. Later on their post rocking and psychedelic sound and the influences of Jim O’Rourke, Alva Noto, Maurizio Bianchi and Yoshihiro Hanno made him concentrate on a solo career in the year 2004, in which he now collaborates with artists like Aoki Takamasa- member of the Japanese band Progressive Form, Popmuzik Crew and also Mokira, a Mille Plateaux-Artist.

Daisuke mainly attaches importance to create not only acoustic but also electronic and experimental soundscapes and atmospheres. He mixes up a wide variety of classic instruments, spoken word snippets, crisp beats with a suitable proportion of ambient and builds them all up to one imaginary film made for listen to.

It is definitely out of question that april.#02 is an absolute enrichment to the whole international world of music and convinced by this is none other than Ryuichi Sakamoto(Yellow Magic Orchestra) , who features Daisuke’s works in his own radio show Radio Sakamoto on J-Wave Tokyo. Up to now Daisuke has sold some of his tracks exclusively only at his live-gigs in Japan but now he finally releases his first official album on the label onpa whereby he can at last be listened in Europe, too.”
