The tower-like drawings that make up the entirety of Jens Schubert’s Dante On Elmstreet are rendered in playful and imaginative terms — it is unclear whether or not their detailing is reference to architectural reality, however the thematic bend towards buildings and/or decorative space is apparent. Jens’ work within other media contains a similar visual language and affinity for the absurd, the teetering, and the just-barely-asymmetrical. Dante On Elmstreet was printed in an edition of 125 by the screenprint publishers Gfeller & Hellsgård at Re: Surgo! in Berlin.
