For its participation in the Dans la marge project, Blexbolex produced a series of 34 portraits based on excerpts from notebooks; Each head is indeed a collage supported by a silhouette in paper cut-outs, redesigned a posteriori. Thanks to this partly improvised exercise, Blexbolex reveals over the pages certain aspects of his creative process: influences, research, avenues of work, etc.

For several years now, Effi Mild and Laurent Zorzin – at the origin of the Arts Factory gallery – have entrusted the artists whose work they have presented with a 32-page school notebook, a witness to their passage in one of the 200 or so exhibitions in their space. Their mission: to take this little souvenir with them, leave it lying around for the necessary time in their studio, then without any constraint of theme or technique, return it to the sender decorated with unpublished drawings…
