This special issue of the Cahiers Dans la marge was produced as part of a workshop on the concept of the collection with the students of the Ecole Supérieure d’Art de Lorient in 2008/2009. It includes drawings by Agnese Giordano, Cédric Hamon, Marion Plumet, Iza Venet, Rodolphe Keller, Julien Leuliet, François Depagne, Maud le Guennou, Lanyi Huang, Audrey Guédé, Julien Olichet, Manon Rousseau, Mahé de Rosière, Pauline Danet, Marion Viot and Cédric Le Corf.

For several years now, Effi Mild and Laurent Zorzin – at the origin of the Arts Factory gallery – have entrusted the artists whose work they have presented with a 32-page school notebook, a witness to their passage in one of the 200 or so exhibitions in their space. Their mission: to take this little souvenir with them, leave it lying around for the necessary time in their studio, then without any constraint of theme or technique, return it to the sender decorated with unpublished drawings…
