Laurent Jeanneau aka Kink Gong presents us with a compilation of gongs of ethnic minorities from Ratanakiri and Mondolkiri provinces of Cambodia and Champasak and Attapeu provinces of Laos. Recorded between 2003 and 2007 by Laurent Jeanneau and co-released by Kink Gong and Tiger Gong records.

Georges Condominas released end of the 50s a vinyl containing recordings of gong ceremonies ‘Musiques Mnong Gar du Vietnam’ (Ocora, France). In between so much has happened and more than 50 years later it’s time for the world to discover these fantastic minimalist metallic beats, the true music of animist ceremonies from South East Asia.
