In fact our second signing from Nijmegen – this time with more result (Plonk 004 remains unreleased until further notice). At the time of recording, Girlfriends were a four piece group, two guitars, one bass and drums. They play instrumental rock music, influenced by thirty years of sonic explorations. They have been coined as post rock – oh well. The a-side (no titles for both tracks) is a cut up of their playing, while the b-side is a continuous mode, full rock blast a la Girlfriends. They will have a LP and a CD released on Beta-Lactam Ring Records later this year.
