Given the track record of the two involved, it’s safe to assume that a complimentary box of Anadin wouldn’t be a bad idea for those of you with more delicate constitutions… With Enduser in the red corner and Larvae in the blue, ‘Unraveled Ears’ is a fierce two-sider where the individuals contribute a new track each, then get busy on remix detail for the other. If that makes sense. First to the furnace is Enduser with the aural knee-in-you-nuts of ‘Reset’ – wherein some haunted soundscapes play havoc with your nerves as a ricochet break nails deep into the psyche and proves that, whilst undoubtedly rough, he doesn’t confuse frantic delivery as an excuse to cut corners. Sticking on this side, Larvae introduces his new track in the shape of ‘What’s Left Of Starting Over’ – an oddly melancholic composition that brings to mind Two Lone Swordsmen’s Lali Puna remix from a bit ago – whilst on the back both artists hand over a track to the other to get remixing with; providing suitably jerky and edible results.
