“Most of you might know the situation: You sit in front of a computer all day long for all types of work, so you get tired to continue staring on a screen for your favourite occupation as well. So last year, I started to look for an alternative way to make music and to collect some little bits and pieces for a low budget portable setup. Not only that I wanted to leave the comfort zone of a DAW and challenge myself with a minimalistic configuration. I also wanted to be flexible enough to go out into nature to create directly on location. Living part-time in a vast and forgotten corner of the country for a couple of years now, I always wanted to create music dedicated to this beautiful spot.

Exploring these new forms of production, I collected quite a bit of raw material, short sketches and rough compositions, often recorded in one take and with an archaic charm. After going through all these tracks without any purpose, I was surprised by the opulence of sounds and ideas, so I decided to compile the best of them for a little special release. I always wanted to put out a cassette one day and I am happy that there couldn’t be any better medium than a tape for these kind of tunes.

So take off your shoes, sit back and enjoy the earthy trip.”
