The Untitled Title Belt has been used in almost every performance by The Haters ever since its premiere in San Francisco, February 1999.
All three of these pieces are real time recordings of the Untitled Title Belt feeding back on itself. No multi-tracking or post-production was applied.
Founded in 1979, they are one of the earliest and most well-known acts in the modern noise scene. The group is primarily the work of the Hollywood, California-based media artist, writer, and filmmaker GX Jupitter-Larsen, accompanied by a constantly changing line up of other “members,” usually local experimental musicians and artists in whatever town in which a Haters performance happens to take place.
