Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Electronics [Computer Controlled Live Electronics] – Luc Houtkamp
Electric Guitar – Jacques Palinckx (tracks: 3)

Tape – Tony Van Campen (tracks: 6)
Trombone – George Lewis (tracks: 5)

“An astonishing document by any standard, this recording features the eclectic saxophonist in a series of interactive ventures. Five of the six tracks find Houtkamp sparring with either another performer or a computer, with one track written by Houtkamp but played by electric guitarist Jacques Palinckx and computer. Highlights include “1021,” with keyboardist Richard Teitelbaum, recorded at the October Meeting 1991; and “718,” a wild acoustic romp through improvisational heaven with trombonist George Lewis. Houtkamp’s stunning work with computers is uniquely satisfying, and the addition of manipulated tape on “Odd & Even” and computer controlled piano on “Vogeltrek” are off-the-wall displays of this genre. Houtkamp’s compositional skills are set in full throttle, and the results are uniformly disarming.”
