“Sonig is an independent record label based in Cologne, Germany, founded 1997 and run by Frank Dommert. Tugging at the borders between digital (dsp) & analogue technology, electro-acoustic experimentation and improvisation, promoting dissent and differentiation is what Sonig is all about. It aims at conceptual and organizational stratagems which can provide both a creative outlet and an accessible forum for discussion, a space in which new terms for music can be located. The artists at Sonig play to their own standards, complexities, dynamics and non-linearities.
