“We Wait for the Snow project was born in the winter season of 2004/05.
The founding member of the project is Andrea Penso, already active with Selaxon Lutberg, Cold Current production and Centre of Wood, helped by her old friend Simone Zuccolin. The sound is deliberately lo-fi, and is created exclusively with economical instruments : acoustic and electric guitars, cheap keyboards and old synth, various no-musical objects, flute, toys percussions, accordion, tapes… The intent is create a confidential atmosphere in the balance between “dream” (wait the snow is like dreaming) and bitter tears concreteness (the snow probably it will never arrive). This sense of precarious balance to find in a practice level on the songs that alternate moments of pure improvisation and others more studied and controlled.
