Two duos intersect, Minton/Chen and Beam Splitter forming this trio – hyper extended close miked mouthful and breath driven antics for double voice and trombone.

YEAH YOU (UK)

A father-daughter duo, YEAH YOU is the free-improvising twosome of Will and Freya Edmondes aka Gustav Thomas and Elvin Brandhi. The pair have progressed from endless hours of instantaneous composing and recording in their car, often using the trademarks of hiphop and dance music with abandon and aplomb, drizzled heavily with stream-of-consciousness vocal proliferations and the odd splash of autotune.

“Scompaio” (I disappear) is the new full length work by Das Andere Selbst label’s bright spark Delmore FX. Built around the mundane but magic disappearance of shapes, things and beings alike in the sombre tiredness of nocturne shadows and vaporous ashen fumes, the album’s ten tracks are graftings of new investigations where what we know as “music” is bewilderingly transfigured by the artist’s outlandish array of synthesizers, samplers, loopers, mics, mixer and effects employed as assemblages of transmogrifying machines. To present this new effort ArteTetra, Communion and Das Andere Selbst join their forces for a three-days decentralized happening opening with a 12hrs marathon on the Spandau island. This months episode of Vamilienfa†er’s “Elevating / Escalating” features a mix showcasing different shades of the label “Kinship” – provided by the labels founder Etkin Çekin. For the second part of the show Ian Medina contributed a very special mix, that elevates the guest-mix series from the Staalplaat record shop CD back stock with a 50 minute rework from tracks and sounds Medina picked up from the shops shelves.

Vamilienfa†er’s „Elevating / Escalating“ returns to its monthly instalment at Mutant Radio, with a guest mix from the Staalplaat Berlin Record Shop CD back stock by the musician & artist Eleni Poulou, formerly a part of the infamous British post-punk band „The Fall“. Also featured in the show: an exclusive 9 minute composition by the sound-artist Bilwa, based around his concept of „Un/Natural Fields“, as well as wide selection of sounds, music and songs that crossed the hosts attention in this last months.
